I am truly grateful for the opportunity to capture the stunning and super colourful night skies over the spiritually charged Uluru.
This image is by far the most riskiest image I have ever taken. And with that my favourite image too.
I have invested my life savings into my camera which has allowed me to capture some stunning images across Australia. With that, to capture this shot, I had to leave my camera in the middle of the desert just outside the town of Yulara (to avoid light pollution) for the duration of the whole night and come back in the morning to fetch it.
Leaving my camera (a very expensive tool) in the middle of nowhere was a scary, risky but rewarding experience. I couldn’t stay with the camera overnight as it was a summer night and I was being attacked my mosquitoes even at 11pm! However the desire to capture this image overcame the risk associated with it and thus I left my camera and let it capture the stars moving Uluru.
This image was shot with a Canon 1DX Mark III and a 14mm lens and contains over 3 and a half hours worth of data.

*Due to Uluru being a sacred site, permits had to be obtained to capture the majestic rock and reproduce them as metallic fine art prints. Given the limited prints available for Uluru, the price will be higher than the other prints available.
