With the summer nights (here in Australia) slowly cooling down, the skies above are seen to change too. With the Carina constellation coming lower and the Milkyway core slowly rising towards the East, I wanted to capture this transition mainly focussing on the Carina portion as it is bright and colourful.
I travelled to the dam, silently making my way to the water’s edge so as to not disturb the birds and set up my astro equipment facing south. Using my wideangle lens and a 15 minute exposure, I captured this beautiful scene.
